The Pleasure Island protection plan is unique because it includes the bank of a confined ship channel where controlling forces are ship-generated wakes and surges as opposed to natural tides, currents and storms.

LEAP is providing condition assessments of past projects on Pleasure Island and the vicinity, coastal engineering analysis, design, and PS&E as well as numerical modeling of the environmental conditions.
