Emergency Response & Post-Disaster Recovery
As incident commander, Coastal Engineering director Bill Worsham, P.E., led a multiple agency response to storm impacts spread over a two-county area after tropical storms Josephine and Francis, with emphasis on debris removal and recovery of beachfront property and public infrastructure. Tasks also included preliminary damage assessment for the purpose of documenting eligibility for federal disaster assistance, and development of scopes of work for disaster recovery projects.
More recently, in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005, Mr. Worsham conducted condition assessments which included analysis of damage cause and extent, structural integrity of existing buildings and recovery strategies.
*These projects were completed prior to Mr. Worsham’s employment at LEAP Engineering.
