Director of Coastal Engineering
Mr. Worsham is a 1986 engineering graduate of Texas A&M University with training and experience spanning 20 years of program management, engineering analysis, project scoping, design, construction oversight, and condition assessment of coastal, navigation and erosion-response projects.
Bill’s expertise primarily relates to human interaction with shorelines including public access, beaches, waterfront construction, shore protection/erosion responses, ship/boat wake effects, sediment transport, and the behavior of coastal infrastructure under storm conditions. Bill was the initial director of Texas’ first statewide coastal erosion response program, and subsequently implemented numerous related projects as a private engineering consultant.
Recent experience also includes post-Katrina and Rita engineering assessments. Earlier technical experience includes the engineering analysis and construction design of public and private flood control facilities, and the monitoring and analysis of cold-climate coastal oil exploration/production facilities in the Alaskan Arctic.
