Bill Worsham, P.E. Joins LEAP Engineering as Director of Coastal Engineering

William "Bill" Worsham, P.E., previously with Pacific International Engineering, PLLC joined LEAP Engineering, LLC as director of Coastal Engineering January 26, 2007. Mr. Worsham will be located in LEAP's Austin office and will primarily focus on synergizing LEAP's established civil, structural, hydraulic, and environmental expertise with Mr. Worsham's keen knowledge of and key experience in coastal engineering solutions. Coastal Engineering will enable LEAP to provide integrated, turn-key services for private and public-sector clients in the coastal community.
Mr. Worsham is a 1986 engineering graduate of Texas A&M University with training and experience spanning 20 years of program management, engineering analysis, project scoping, design, construction oversight, and condition assessment of coastal, navigation and erosion-response projects.
Mr. Worsham's expertise primarily relates to human interaction with shorelines including public access issues, waterfront construction, shore protection/erosion responses, ship/boat wake effects, sediment transport, and the behavior of coastal infrastructure under storm conditions. Mr. Worsham was the initial director of Texas' first statewide coastal erosion response program, and subsequently implemented numerous related projects as a private engineering consultant. |
