Dawn Greenwood, EIT joined LEAP in November 2007 after moving from the metro Detroit area. Originally from North Dakota, Dawn graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, SD with a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering in May 2001. After graduation she began working for Dakota Gasification Company in Beulah, ND. While working for the Great Plains Synfuels plant, Dawn provided structural support for several projects in many units of the plant. She started their GIS to map their synthetic natural gas and carbon dioxide pipelines.

In February 2005, she started work with the Parsons Transportation Group in Southfield, Michigan. During her time in Michigan, Dawn became familiar with highway transportation work and specialized in signing, pavement marking, and maintenance of traffic work. While at Parsons, she was involved in the first dual roundabout to be constructed in North America.
